When you think fine art, you don’t think that they’ll be hanging on the walls of a restaurant. But guests of the Picasso restaurant at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino.in Las Vegas were able to do so for years.

Now, MGM Resorts, which owns the Bellagio, is planning to sell 11 Picassos from the international hospitality company’s collection of 23 artworks that are worth an estimated $104 million. It will take place on October 23 and will be conducted by Sotheby’s.

The auction will include paintings, works on paper and ceramics. Among the highly-anticipated lot items isPicasso’s 1938 painting Femme au Beret Rouge-Orange, which depicts the artist’s lover and muse, Marie-Therese Walter, and carries an estimate of $20 million to $30 million. The painting was acquired in the late 1990s, under Bellagio founder Steve Wynn, a notable art collector.

It is part of MGM Resorts’ strategy of becoming a powerhouse in contemporary art by expanding its current collection to include works by women and people of colour.
